NewPort Village Market Square, Port Moody

From 2003 to 2009, the merchants of NewPort Village and their sponsors followed the European tradition of hosting a village festival, welcoming thousands to the square to enjoy entertainment, food, contests, and cultural experiences for one glorious day.

Our spaghetti-eating and watermelon-eating contests were legendary!  In addition to having a great time, we also raised some money for charity with our contests, raffles and tournaments.

I had the great privilege of attending all but two of these festivals, and had the pleasure of snapping hundreds of photos.
